Postdoctoral Position
New Post-doc Position to Study Implicit Social Cognition and Robots!

The Departments of Psychology and Computer Science at Cornell seek to hire a postdoctoral scholar for a two-year position starting July, 2020.

The post-doc would be primarily based in the Department of Psychology in Professor Melissa Ferguson’s lab, but will also be working with Professor Ross Knepper in the Computer Science Department. As part of a federal grant on implicit social cognition and human-robot interaction, the postdoc will be expected to collaborate on studies examining how people form and change implicit and explicit impressions and memories of robots through interactions.  
 
Requirements:
  • PhD graduates in social psychology or closely related fields. Student with an undergrad degree or other background in psychology and a graduate degree in CS/robotics would be considered.
  • Passionate about social cognition, and interested in human-robot interaction.
  • Robotics experience is not required, but the postdoc will gain experience operating robots in the course of the project.
Salary
Annual salary will follow NIH guidelines.
